Soo Min Hong

Soo Min focuses on deeptech and frontier innovation, with a particular soft spot for robotics and technologies that push the boundaries of what’s possible. Originally from South Korea, she moved to Lyon as a teenager and has since built a truly international career across Europe and Asia.

She brings hands-on experience as both a founder and operator. She founded ventures in edtech and healthtech, and later worked on scaling hardtech and consumer startups in collaboration with the South Korean government, supporting founders navigating commercialization and global expansion. She also previously worked as an Analyst at Pale blue dot, where she evaluated early-stage climate and deeptech companies.

In 2025 Soo Min co-founded pluto house, an hacker house initiative that has since launched three residences across Europe, bringing together top technical builders to collaborate on frontier projects. The program quickly became a magnet for ambitious engineers and researchers, reflecting her ability to spot emerging talent and cultivate high-intensity innovation environments.

Soo Min is fluent in Korean, English, French and speaks conversational Swedish. Outside of work, she’s one of the team’s karaoke aficionados (alongside Daniela), and she loves exploring multiple layers of spiciness from chili spice to pepper spice. A fitting addition to a team that includes John - our very own homemade chili-sauce maker.
