Jakob Vaghult

Jakob focuses on innovations within finance, insurance, industrial tech and marketplaces — where new technologies reshape how things are built, traded and distributed. He enjoys digging into the mechanics of early-stage businesses where technology meets real-world complexity.

Before joining node.vc, Jakob spent close to three years at Northvolt, where he worked across engineering, manufacturing, quality, project management and finance — giving him a broad operational lens that now shapes how he evaluates founders and their businesses. He holds a Master's degree from the Stockholm School of Economics, where he studied entrepreneurial finance and innovation and wrote his thesis on corporate adoption of agentic AI. During his studies, he also co-founded an art startup through SSE Business Lab.

Born and raised in Stockholm, Jakob spends his free time skiing, hiking and biking — basically anything that involves being outdoors and moving fast. He's also a dedicated board game player, an eager explorer of new places, and an aspiring bush pilot.
