Node invests in Danish startup Acembee: AI-driven automation tool for construction sites, that helps contractors replace spreadsheets with a smart, connected solution to cut energy waste.
Danish contech company Acembee has raised DKK 9 million in fresh funding to accelerate the digitization of the construction industry — one of the most polluting and least digitized sectors in the world. The investment comes from node.vc and Kiilto Ventures, and will enable Acembee to scale its platform across Europe.
While industries from logistics to finance have embraced AI, construction remains slow to modernize. Acembee’s AI-powered platform replaces spreadsheets and fragmented systems with real-time data collection, automated reporting, and actionable insights, enabling contractors to make faster, smarter decisions on site.

The announcement comes at a pivotal moment, as new Danish climate regulations are placing stricter limits on CO₂emissions from building activities, especially during the construction phasecapped at 1.5 kg CO₂e/m²/year. Acembee’s platform automates this process end-to-end, without adding administrative burden while delivering cost and energy savings.
